The HoopShooter Pro has magnets in it. Are there any precautions?
The magnets should stay 6 inches away from people with pacemakers and electrical devices implanted in their bodies. Magnets are also known to demagnetize credit card type cards that contain magnetic strips.
Can The HoopShooter Pro be used in contact drills?
No! The HoopShooter Pro is designed for non-contact drills and practice only! No "one on one" practice is recommended wearing the Hoopshooter Pro.
How long did it take to create the HoopShooter Pro?
It took approximately two and a half years of testing with trainers and athletes of all skill levels and ages. Many corrections and prototypes were made in the process.
It looks in the videos like the HoopShooter Pro is rigid and limits the athletes shot. Is that true?
Quite the contrary! The HoopShooter Pro weighs less than 1.9 ounces. It is extremely flexible and the hands can move around at will. It separates (detaches) in the middle when the hands are extended beyond the range that the HoopShooter Pro allows. Built in magnets on both ends keep the HoopShooter Pro together to ensure proper form. The magnets are the perfect strength to create a balance between keeping the hands together and allowing the hands to come apart when arm muscle is used to separate them.
How do I wash the HoopShooterPro?
Wash in cool water with a mild detergent, rinse thoroughly and drip dry. Do not machine wash, bleach or dry clean. Do not place in dryer to dry.
What size should I order?
There is only one size. One size fits youth, High School, College, University, and Professional players. The wristbands are elastic and stretch to fit all wrist sizes.
Does the HoopShooter Pro need to be taken off to perform drills such as passing the ball and dribbling?
No! The HoopShooter Pro easily detaches at the center where the magnets are located so that you can perform drills such as dribbling, passing and running. When the drills are finished and the athlete wants to shoot again, they very easily attach by placing the magnets close to each other. You will hear a 'CLICK' when the magnets are in the proper position again. Click, Shoot and Score!
